In 2002, the BAWAG FOUNDATION presented the first volume of its BAWAG FOUNDATION EDITION. With this series curated by Brigitte Huck, the BAWAG FOUNDATION has reinforced its committed exhibition activities, bringing a classical medium up to date: the artist book. The program established a new immaterial and flexible space for art that transcends site-bound modes of presentation and increases the artists' room to move through mobile forms of distribution.
The volumes published so far include books by Florian Pumhösl (2002), Olafur Eliasson (2002), Marko Lulic (2003), Elke Krystufek (2004), Cerith Wyn Evans (2005), Christian Philipp Müller (2006), Dorit Margreiter and Anette Baldauf (2007), and Josef Dabernig (2008).
Roman Ondák: Measuring the Universe is published by JRPI | Ringier Kunstverlag AG, Zurich, as part of the artist book series BAWAG FOUNDATION EDITION and Christoph Keller Editions.
